When I was born, twenty seven short years ago, I had to stay in the NICU for 2 weeks. Although I wasn’t premature, I needed help breathing before I was healthy enough to go home.
Many babies have similar experiences. Fortunately, my Vicki did not have any issues at birth. However, 1 in 8 babies in the United States is born prematurely. That’s 543,000 babies every year. Premature birth is the number one cause of death in newborns.*
In just over two weeks, I am walking to help those premature babies in the March for Babies in Nashua, NH. My goal is to raise $1000 for the March of Dimes. If you’re in the NH area, won’t you join me? For everyone else, please donate. Even $5, $10, or $20 will help. I will be forever grateful, but more importantly, you are giving babies a chance to live.
